Privacy Policy

Misprites is a free browser game. The short version of this policy: no accounts, no cookies, no ads, and no personal information. The only data we ever store is an anonymous player count and, if you opt in, a leaderboard name and score.

What we collect

There is no sign-up and no login. Two small online features exist, and this is everything they involve:

• Player counts. The game pings our server about once a minute with a random identifier that your browser makes up (it contains no personal information and is not linked to you). This is only used to show how many players are online and to count total visits. Everyone online shares a small production bonus.
• Leaderboard (optional). If you choose a player name under "ranks" in the game footer, we store that name together with your game score (total Glitches, rift opens, catalog count, playtime) so it can appear on the public leaderboard. If you never set a name, no score is ever submitted. To be removed from the board, email us.

That is the complete list. There are no ads, no analytics profiles, and nothing is sold or shared.

Cookies

Misprites does not use cookies. That is why there is no cookie banner.

Your save data

Your game progress is stored in your browser's local storage, on your own device. It never leaves your device and we cannot see it. This storage is strictly necessary for the game to remember your progress.

• To take a copy of your data, use export save in the game footer.
• To delete it, use reset reality in the game footer, or clear this site's data in your browser settings.

Hosting and analytics

The site is served by Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the technical data needed to deliver a website (such as your IP address) and may keep short-lived server logs for security and performance. We do not receive or use that data. See the Cloudflare privacy policy for details.

Cloudflare also provides us Web Analytics: an aggregate count of page visits. It is cookieless, stores no identifier on your device, does not track you across sites, and shows us only totals (for example, how many people visited today), never individual profiles.

Third parties

Aside from Cloudflare, which serves the site, runs our player-count and leaderboard service, and provides the cookieless analytics described above, the game makes no requests to any third-party service. Fonts and all other assets are hosted on this domain.

Children

Misprites is suitable for general audiences. Because we collect no personal information from anyone, we also collect none from children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes (for example, if the game adds an optional online feature), the new version will be posted here with an updated date.
